Do you think this is worth the time and money to have it's pads replaced Expert's Assistant: I love the notion of my brother's old guitar having a history and belonging to someone famous. I have looked on about every single place that I could fin any information that I could with Buescher/Bundy/Yamaha, and the only information I can find is that theres tons of information about every other serial number except for mine. I have a Bundy Flute, I've looked up the serial number and it appears to have been manufactured in the early 1970's.
Selmer’s first flutes were modeled on Louis Lot flutes, which many professional flutists played in the 1920s. Im assuming an older one, but the serial number on my flute, i cant find anywhere. French horns may display serial numbers on or around the valves, on the underside of the key area, or near the mouthpiece. The company hired Kurt Gemeinhardt, a German flute craftsman, to oversee production.
